Dear friends,
1. I explain what I mean by 'bended' timelines:
In future pacing / timelines, I heard that if you put the person 6 days, 3 months, 1 year into the future (as example) you in the first step let them hear, feel, and see what they will look like.
Generally timelines are 'perfect' in the sense that the client see himself or herself as they will be than, and everything is great and like the best in the best of worlds.
However some people like Richard Bandler for instance, allow in the 3 or 4 step process 1 step where there might be small and rather insignificant challenges, which are surmounted at the last step. For instance a person which loses weight might have a phase where he or she gains weight.
'Bended' timelines allow a small step back and than in the final step of the timeline (x Years into the future) the challenge is overcome with bravour and everything is better than before.
2. The question per se:
Does it make sense to allow a challenge in timeline / future pacing, so that the person who wants to control or lose weght will not be completely discouraged and / or frustrated,
or
will it be a not such good idea to allow challenges and small failures.
What is your experience with this? How do you think about it?
Thanks for sharing.
Best wishes,
Robi
